The focus of the interview was on an event that happened at age 6, when Akiane disappeared and the mother reported a missing child. There were 50 police on the property scouring every inch of the house, inside and out. After hours of searching they concluded she couldn’t be in the house, and then she just appeared right in the midst of a fairly large group of police, right in the middle of where they were congregating.
